What It Means
Sellers kept listing homes at a normal pace this week, but noticeably fewer buyers went under contract or closed compared to last year. Showings held nearly flat, so people are still out looking — they're just taking longer to commit. For a buyer, that combination usually means more room to negotiate. For a seller, it means pricing right from day one matters more than it did a year ago.
